Colleges
College campuses can be among the prettiest venues in the world. There is nothing worse than walking along a beautiful college lawn and seeing cigarette butts strewn in the bushes. If there is no alternative, a student will flick his butt under the nearest shrub. Dawn aggregate receptacles are great because they are manufactured out of natural Chattahoochee river stone and can blend in to any scenery on any college campus. Many major universities have purchased Dawn cigarette urns to place all over their campuses.
One of the strengths of our cigarette urn is that it is self-draining. If a college student pours a drink in the urn, the drink will be slowly absorbed into the body of the receptacle. When the sun comes out, the moisture will evaporate. This is particularly good for college campuses where there is lots of rain or snow as the urn will never turn into a puddle of ashes.
Our ashtrays are available in 24" and 36" heights and weigh over 150 pounds so no one is likely to walk off with them. We offer a matching stone blend to fill the top of the ash urn to make the receptacle as unassuming as possible. We can permanently attach a 10" college or university logo to the side of the receptacle or we can put in a message such as "No Smoking Allowed from this Point Forward".
We have kept the price of our 24" urns under $100.00. Since the ashtray is made of stone, it will last for years and years so the Dawn Enterprises receptacles are a strong value for any college or university. We have college and universities that bought receptacles from us 15 years ago that still have not replaced any of their urns.
We also offer 35-gallon and 55-gallon trashcans for college campuses. These are very effective receptacles outside of student unions as coeds have a convenient way to dispose of trash. The 35-gallon can is built around a fiberglass liner with a drain so even if the internal bag were to leak, it can be easily cleaned. The 55-gallon concrete style trash barrel is good for colleges because of its high capacity; that means fewer bag changes. Like the cigarette urns, we can put any college or university logo on the receptacle.
Our self-watering planters and concrete planters are ideal for college campuses. They provide an attractive and safe place for plants to grow. Our planters and tubs protect plants from being trampled and when full, weigh over 300 lbs., preventing them from being moved or knocked over. However, when empty, they weigh considerably less and can easily be moved by two people.
Our self-watering planters only need to be filled once every 90 days, which cuts down on maintenance costs and makes them very convenient. This also allows plants to be put in locations not covered by your campus's sprinkler system.
Our concrete planters come in 3 sizes: 3' (600 lbs.), 4' (1100 lbs.), and 7' (4000 lbs.). Due to the size of the planters, they provide excellent security barriers.
